My Services

I am passionate about working with people at every life stage; from pre-conception, in childhood where we create the foundations for lifelong vibrant health, during parenthood when prioritising health can be hard, to those in the winter of their lives where I love supporting individuals (and couples!) to optimise their quality of life and longevity.

With my background as a psychiatrist, mental health is an area that I particularly enjoy working on with clients including the intersection with metabolic, mitochondrial and gut health.

My aim as a practitioner is to create achievable treatment plans which don’t overwhelm, that address your own unique and specific health goals and aspirations. I will work with you to create a plan that suits your lifestyle and help you to find strategies to weave in new practices which can be sustained and feel manageable, supporting you with learning more about the approaches we use; when we understand the ‘why’ powerful change can occur.

I am constantly updating my knowledge and exploring the most effective approaches to utilise; the more I learn, the more it opens up other exciting avenues to build upon ways to support my clients to achieve their health goals!

I hope you will find my clinic room to be a calm and nurturing space; for those clients who have children with them at appointments there are toys, books and colouring available. If someone is caring for your child nearby whilst you attend an appointment they may wish to explore the beautiful Strickland State forest which is only a short walk away or visit the Narara Ecovillage coffee cart for some nourishment.

For Ecotherapy sessions we spend time with nature as 'co-therapist' outside of the clinic space.

Ecotherapy

In Ecotherapy - nature becomes 'co-therapist'; healing and growth are fostered through nature immersion and interaction. Outside of the clinic room the therapeutic dynamic is shifted, making this approach more comfortable and appropriate for many individuals. In practice this may look like 'walking and talking' (some people find it easier to open up and express themselves when they aren't sitting in an unfamiliar room in an uncomfortable chair), 'nature play and exploration'; for children and adults, sitting, contemplating and observing whilst feeling supported and in a safe container with the therapist and 'nature'. Everyone's needs are different. People who may benefit from Ecotherapy include but are not limited to those who have been diagnosed with depression, anxiety (including eco-anxiety), Bipolar Affective Disorder, ADHD, Autistic Spectrum Disorders, Addictions, PTSD, Complex-PTSD, OCD, Adjustment disorder, Eating Disorders, Insomnia and Panic attacks. It may also be supportive for people who are experiencing severe stress, overwhelm, angry outbursts, parenting challenges, relationship challenges, social anxiety and grief and loss.
